The new look was launched in February this year and, in addition to proving popular with consumers, it has also helped the Coatbridge-based confectionery manufacturer to secure increased distribution for the products, with three major multiples.
The firm has had to increase production at its factory in order to cope with the boost in demand.
Clive Miquel managing director, Lees of Scotland, said: “The increase in popularity of Lees’ snowballs and teacakes since the introduction of the new packaging has surpassed expectations. It’s a good situation to be in at the moment; from a production perspective it is a challenge to satisfy demand.”
The redesign is the first for the brand for over five years.
