Caffè Nero reports 2.8% rise in LFL sales

Coffee chain Caffè Nero has reported a 2.8% rise in like-for-like (LFL) sales in the year to 31 May.

Ebitda increased by 10.8% to £34.9m, and revenue grew by 10.7% to £204.3m as the brand opened 39 net new stores in the period, with 45 openings and six closures. Pre-tax profit in the year increased 10.5% to £21.1m.

Caffè Nero said it planned to open 45 stores next year.

In a statement, the coffee chain said: “The directors continue to believe there are strong growth prospects in the UK branded coffee bar market and intend to continue the rapid roll out of the Caffè Nero concept around the country.”
