The National Association of Master Bakers (NAMB) has teamed up with California Raisins to offer two one-day craft courses for Christmas.

The courses will be delivered by Ian Wilson of the Village Bakery at Slattery Patisserie & Chocolatier in Manchester on 5 November and at Bako Western in Cullompton, Devon, on 12 November. The courses are free to NAMB members and cost £50 for non-members, which includes tuition, lunch and refreshments.

The breads and Christmas confectionery to be made during the courses include Stollen according to a traditional German recipe, gluten-free Cinnamon Stars, a “Taste of Christmas” bread using spelt and a “Gingerbread House”.

Demand for places is expected to be high and anyone interested in attending should return the booking form to NAMB, 21 Baldock Street, Ware, Hertfordshire SG12 9DH or email: tina@masterbakers.co.uk
