La Boulangerie strikes gold, silver and bronze

La Boulangerie, the bread and patisserie speciality business division of wholesaler Brakes, won a number of awards at the British Frozen Food Federation awards held earlier this month.

In the Best New Bakery/Pastry Product category, it took gold for its Treacle Toffee Apple Tulip Muffin, silver for its 100% Rye Tin Loaf and bronze for its Artisan Fusette.

Of the winning product, the judges commented that it had “fantastic treacle flavour, very well displayed with a delicious light texture”.

Simon Cannell, bakery specialist at La Boulangerie, said: “This is an incredible achievement for everyone at La Boulangerie and is testament to our continuous strive to develop new and exciting products that meet the needs of today’s market, whilst helping to drive our customers’ business”.
