Healthier fibre for bakery

04 November, 2011

Global ingredients manufacturer Tate & Lyle will launch a new dietary fibre into the UK bakery market next month.

Promitor Soluble Gluco Fibre has been designed to be incorporated into baked goods as a healthier option and provide moderate cost-in-use. Initially available in liquid form, the Promitor SGF70L is suitable for markets and applications requiring fibres made from non-GM maize.

Jerome Tauzin, product manager for health and wellness, said: "European consumers are increasingly interested in label-friendly ingredients, and our research indicates Soluble Gluco Fibre delivers on those trends."
