Warburtons is attempting to create the world’s biggest bread and butter pudding to raise money for charity.

The bread and bakery manufacturer has said it will be looking to make the larger-than-life pudding at its Wednesbury site to beat the current Guinness World Record, which stands at 400lb and used more than 150 loaves of bread.

The final product will be delivered to Tipton Library in Dudley, West Midlands, on Friday (28 September) to be displayed and sold to local residents to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, as part of the charity’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

Robert Hazel, manager at Tipton Library, said: “What could be better than tucking into bread and butter pudding while raising money for charity? Everyone is welcome, so come along and share in what we hope will be a piece of history.”
