Cake business Bluebell Kitchen is producing 190 cupcakes in support of Waterstones’ World Book Day.
Held at Waterstones’ flagship store in Piccadilly, London on 6 March 2014, Erica and Charlie Bell, owners, will provide mini vanilla cupcakes for every child who attends.
The business has previously worked with Waterstones, providing 100 cupcakes for a book launch hosted by the retailer last September.
Iona Dudley, fiction manager at the Piccadilly store, said: “Bluebell Kitchen was kind enough to provide us with over 100 book cover-topped cupcakes for an event with young adult author Cassandra Clare. Everyone who attended the event was delighted with the cakes, and the author, in particular, loved the extra effort that had gone in to them.”
Founded in 2011, the business is based in Maidstone, Kent, and produces cakes for weddings, birthdays and corporate events across the south east.
