BIA and social media

The finalists for this year’s Baking Industry Awards (BIA) have been announced – and they are already causing a stir on social media.

We want to make this year’s BIA the most interactive yet and are encouraging all sponsors, finalists and attendees to get involved via Facebook or Twitter and share their thoughts and memories of the event.

We’ll be running the search for the best selfie of the night at the awards – which take place at the prestigious The Park Lane Hilton on Wednesday, 10 September.

Here is an example of how some of the finalists and sponsors have used social media to tell the world about BIA.

Martyn Leek, editor of British Baker, said: “Everyone in the industry knows that the Baking Industry Awards are a great night out. It’s a chance to network, meet old friends and celebrate the best in the industry.

“But this year we want to make it more than just the night itself and want all involved to take to social media and celebrate this industry.”
