M&S and SSP join-up to extend

28 November, 2014

Marks & Spencer has launched a new site at Sutton station with SSP, in a bid to extend its breakfast and lunch offering in the food-to-go market.

The retailer will reportedly roll out more of the SSP run sites in Ebbsfleet International, Winchester and Sevenoaks stations, according to British Baker’s sister publication M&C Report.

The offering will include sandwiches, soups, ready meals and hot drinks.

It has been trialling the format with SSP, the travel concessions operator, since 2012 at Baker Street station.

This comes as SSP, global giant behind brands such as Upper Crust and Caffè Ritazza, announced yesterday it had seen revenue increase by 4%.

It also said its sales reached £1.8bn for the year ended 30 September.
