Waitrose pastry products supplier, Deli Santé is looking for a national distributor to extend its customer base.

The pastry brand, which produces its own pastry product range, as well as Waitrose branded products, has a factory in Milton Keynes following a £2m investment in 2012.

Charles Coleman, Deli Santé co-founder, said: “We are looking to branch out to a bigger customer base and are seeking a distributor to work with us. We would also like to up the catering side ideally we would like to be at major events like Wimbledon.”

He explained there was mileage in single-serve convenience foods, and said the company had developed some smaller products alongside large tarts and quiches.

Long-term, Coleman also said he would like to invest in some retail sites for the brand.

The company had a stand at the International Food and Drink Exhibition (IFE), where it hoped to raise the awareness of its website, which relaunches this month.

The new website will incorporate a brand new e-commerce section, with a selection pack of items from the Deli Santé range, ideally suited for farm shops, delis and speciality food retailers.

Referring to the new site in Milton Keynes, Coleman said: “With a rise in demand for a premium offering in the sector, our investment has allowed an increase in production rates, while maintaining our central offering of bespoke manufacturing and consistent quality.”

In 2014 the company launched 24 new lines, and currently employs 50 people.
