The appointment is part of the company’s growth strategy.
Hancock will be responsible for the company’s Yorkshire factory, which produces chocolate crumb and sweetened condensed milk.
The factory employs more than 70 staff on site.
Mark Chantler, managing director of the ingredients division, said: “Jack has proven himself within the business and we believe he will bring strong and intelligent direction to the sugar division. The appointment is part of our ambitious growth strategy and programme of ongoing investment and improvement that will help facilitate further growth for the business.”
Hancock is now one of three commercial directors within the ingredients division, with Paul Jackson and Jamie Barrell directors of the fresh and fat divisions respectively.
