Time is running out to nominate someone for the Outstanding Contribution to the Baking Industry accolade.

The deadline for nominations for the prestigious category in this year’s Baking Industry Awards (BIA) is next Friday - 26 June.

The award is seen as both an honour and an immense achievement to those who win it, and it gives readers the opportunity to give credit to someone they admire.

Ian Dobbie, managing director of Délifrance, which sponsors the award, said: “This award gives all readers the chance to recognise an outstanding individual - one who has made, or perhaps is still making, a really special contribution to the bakery sector. Someone who has gone beyond the boundaries of their paid salary or ownership, who has voluntarily helped, encouraged or supported others within the bakery sector and sometimes outside it too.”

To nominate someone, please explain:

  • What was/is the business they work/ed in and their role within it?
  • What have they contributed to the trade?
  • What, if anything, have they contributed outside of the world of bakery?

Add any supporting comments. Keep your nomination to one side of A4 and ensure it reaches us by Friday 26 June - or email your nomination to: bb.events@wrbm.com.
