Cake company benefits from foodservice boost

23 July, 2015

South west foodservice supplier Hunt’s broke its own sales records during a recent promotion of products from the Handmade Cake Company – selling more than 3,000 cakes in a single day.

Sherborne-based Hunt’s supplies a range of customers, from mobile ice cream vendors and five-star hotels to public sector services and outside catering. Its product range includes chilled, dry, frozen goods and fresh meat, as well as cakes, tray bakes and cupcakes from the Berkshire-based Handmade Cake Co.

David Bowen, Handmade’s wholesale development, commented; “Hunt’s Foodservice has driven sales of our cakes and increased our brand awareness within the foodservice industry. Their telesales team are dedicated to customer service and have broken all the records; I look forward to what they can achieve in the future.”
