An Italian bakery has opened its first site in the UK, as it looks set to move the brand out of Italy.

El Pan d’na Volta bakery, which prides itself on creating ‘homemade specialities’ from Italy, has opened on Putney high street, where it sells pizza, cakes, pastry and coffee.

First reported in British Baker’s sister publication, M&C Allegra Foodservice, which said the bakery is also set to open another site on Tottenham Court Road. It will also offer platters to take away and has opened with the tagline ‘Daily Italian Tastiness’.

A whole new website has been launched, available in the English language, and the company looks set to sell personalised celebration cakes.

El Pan d’na Volta is based in Mondovì, west of Genoa. It is a family-run business, which has around 15 sites throughout Italy.
