Great British Bake Off contestant Holly Bell has followed in the footsteps of Mary Berry and linked up with frozen food chain Iceland to publish a new cookbook called The Power Of Frozen.

Bell, who competed in The Great British Bake Off in 2011, follows a lead from Mary Berry, who in 1985 published the book Cooking From Your Freezer with Iceland.

Thirty years on, Bell’s new book will bring together 45 recipes as well as tips, to celebrate the retailer’s 45th anniversary.

Eagerly anticipated by Bell’s 25k plus social media followers, the new book covers everything from Light Bites to Foods To Really Impress and Sweet Treats.

Iceland founder and CEO Malcolm Walker said: “We are so pleased to have Holly on board. She is as passionate about frozen as we are, which is saying something! Personally, I think frozen tastes better too and firmly believe that freezing frozen food locks in nutrients which really does make them a superior choice.”

Proceeds from the sale of The Power Of Frozen by Holly Bell will be donated to the Children’s Food Trust, a national charity whose vision is that all children have a balanced diet, the cooking skills and food education they need for good health and to reach their potential.

The cookbook has been on sale at all Iceland stores since 2 September, priced at £5.99, and Bell will also publish a series of video recipes and tips based on the book, available online at Iceland Food TV.
