Warburtons has been named one of the Best 25 Big companies to work for.

The Bolton-based family-owned company won the accolade at the weekend in The Sunday Times.

It is the only food producer in the Top 25 and is joined by the likes of Inchcape UK, American Express and Deloitte.

In a statement on its website the company, which recently spent £25m on a Muppets marketing campaign for its new giant crumpets, said: “We are a successful values driven business with ambitious plans for future growth. Having the right people with the right skills is a crucial part of that growth.  As one of the Sunday Times Best 25 big companies to work for, we pride ourselves on offering our people the best career development opportunities.”

And, it added: “Our focus is on building organisational and leadership capabilities to deliver a high performing, highly engaged business that offers the best possible working environment for our family of employees.”

Warburtons says that over a quarter (27%) of the team have stayed in the business for more than 10 years; the voluntary turnover rate is just 6.29% PA and 82% of its people say they are ‘proud’ to work for the company.

The announcement of its inclusion on the Sunday Times lists comes after it was revealed the company had partnered with Parkrun.
