Having closed in February, three of the nine Castle Bakery shops in north Wales are now up for sale.

Dozens of workers were made redundant when Castle Bakery halted operations in February, and now three of the shops have been put up for sale.

Workers at Castle Bakery sites across Gwynedd and Anglesey were given the news on 18 February, “out of the blue”. They closed two days later.

The owners have remained silent over the reason for the closures, and are still declining to comment. Staff have said they remain “in the dark”.

Three of the stores have been put up for sale through local estate agent Dafydd Hardy, for a total price of £435,000.
