A competition organised by foodservice supplier Coup de Pates is offering student chefs tickets to Taste of London.

The supplier will be using Twitter to give away a pair of free tickets for the Taste of London show, where it will be creating patisserie and dessert options for visitors to see and buy.

The Coup de Pates #FirstTaste competition is set to run from now until 6 June. The giveaway is open to student chefs from across the UK, and is a continuation of its Chefs de l’Avenir (Chefs of Tomorrow) programme, launched last year, which is focused around championing the next generation of pastry talent.

All entrants need to do to be in with a chance of scooping the tickets is go to @CoupdepatesUK and tweet using the hashtag #FirstTaste – the company will then choose the winner out of a hat.

Mariam French, head of marketing and product development for Coup de Pates, said: “The crux of Chefs de l’Avenir is to safeguard a future for British pastry skills, as one day it will be them talking up the mantle at events like this.”

Last month Coup de Pates launched a new range containing more than 180 semi-prepared, reception, patisserie and fully-finished items.
