Lanark-based manufacturer Border Biscuits is running a Ginger January social media campaign to mark the 30th anniversary of its Gingers biscuit range.

The campaign embraces the nation’s love of all things ginger and has attracted interest on a national and international scale, said the business.

Fans of the brand have been asked to post ginger-themed selfies on social media using #GingerJanuary to create a 2017 virtual ginger calendar.

Lesley Ann Gray, brand and innovations director at Border Biscuits, said the company’s ginger biscuits have always been popular and that it wanted to do something fun to celebrate their birthday.

“We’ve been overwhelmed by the support for Ginger January and we’ve thoroughly enjoyed seeing how people are celebrating the event in their own unique way,” she said. “We’re looking forward to continuing the birthday celebrations throughout 2017 and making the Year of the Ginger one to remember.”

Throughout #GingerJanuary, Border Biscuits is giving away ‘we love our gingers’ bags.
