Hunt is on for the best loaf of bread in Britain

If you think your bread has what it takes to be a winner in one of five categories – Sourdough, Wholegrain, White, Innovation or Gluten Free – then we want to know about it.

The 2017 Britain’s Best Loaf competition, sponsored by Rank Hovis, takes place at the Farm Shop & Deli Show at the NEC in Birmingham on 24 April.

Once again, a team of industry professionals will judge the contest, which has captured the hearts of professional bakers across the country. Previous winners have benefited from publicity and media attention after the event.

“This event is a fantastic opportunity for Britain’s bakers to showcase their skill and the quality of their products to their peers and potential customers,” said British Baker editor Vince Bamford.

“It is always a hard-fought contest and I’m sure our expert judges will again have to make some tough decisions in deciding who takes the individual category awards and, of course, the ultimate accolade of Britain’s Best Loaf.”

The Farm Shop & Deli Show is being held from 24-26 April 2017 at the NEC, Birmingham, and will once again offer a fantastic selection of produce and products from local and regional suppliers.
