The Bakery@Foodex exhibition is only a few months away, so make sure you have got the date in your diary and do not forget to register to attend.

Taking place at Birmingham’s NEC from 25-27 March 2012, it forms part of the wider Foodex show which hosts exhibitors from the world of processing, packaging and logistics, covering the entire food chain. Live demonstrations and speakers confirmed so far include: a bread masterclass by Anthony Kindred, owner of Kindred Bakery; ’The Art of the Tarts launching a new bakery business from scratch’ a talk by David Lesniak and David Muniz, partners at Outsider Tart; plenary sessions from Camden BRI on issues such as ’Optimising Baking Conditions to Deliver a Functional Product and Improve Results’ and ’Food Taints and Contaminants’; and a speciality products masterclass, looking at the production of goods such as macarons, and Amaretti biscuits. Other bakery masterclasses hosted by top names in the industry will be revealed in the New Year.

Exhibitors so far, include: Mono Equipment, Benier (UK), the British Society of Baking, (BSB), Cake Portioner, Catering Equipment, the National Association of Master Bakers, Planglow and Reiser UK.

The BSB will also be hosting its annual dinner on the second night of the show (26 March), at the Forest of Arden Hotel and Country Club.

In addition, the OPS Advice Surgery, brought to you by OPS Logistics Consultancy, will form part of the 2012 show, offering free one-to-one advice on a variety of issues from OPS’ expert consultants. Simply tick the box when you register for the show to book your free slot.
