Aulds takes cakes to show

Aulds Delicious Desserts will be launching a line of freezer cakes at this year's Food & Drink Expo.

The desserts and patisserie business, which has supplied cakes and desserts to the annual Royal Garden Party for more than 10 years, has created two pre-portioned varieties that can be served straight from the freezer. Pineapple Passion includes a coconut biscuit base with a light pineapple mousse, topped with a peach-flavoured glaze, while the Raspberry Lime & Redcurrant dessert combines a digestive biscuit base with a lime mousse and a raspberry and redcurrant compôte.

Paul Stewart, marketing manager at Aulds, said: "In these difficult economic times, it is vital that caterers offer something different to entice both existing and new customers. These desserts not only offer tremendous value for money but also give a real point of difference."

The firm has also developed a number of new desserts to be launched at the show this month, including Baked Pear & Caramel Cheesecake, Honeykiss Sundae Dessert, Chocolate Orange Swirl Cake, Lemon Berry Blast and White Chocolate & Raspberry Temptation.

Aulds Delicious Desserts will be based on stand M210 at Food & Drink Expo 2012.
