Cupcake Week sees great result for charity

A fantastic 1,471.34 has been raised so far for our partner charity CLIC Sargent, during National Cupcake Week (NCW), with donations still rolling in

Last month saw hundreds of bakers across the country getting involved in NCW and raising money for the cancer charity through the sale of pin badges, or by donating a percentage of their profits from the sale of cupcakes.

One of those who had a successful week of fundraising was Reids of Caithness, in Scotland, which succeeded in raising 200 for CLIC Sargent. The managing director and his wife attended all the nurseries in the area and donated cupcakes to the children, which they helped them decorate in a cupcake masterclass. It also offered special-edition cupcakes in its shop on each day of NCW.

NCW would also like to thank its sponsors Chevler, Barry Callebaut, Secret Ingredients, Puratos and California Raisins for helping to make the event the best it has ever been.
