Warburtons targets convenience with £1 crumpets

Warburtons is launching price-marked packs (PMP) of its crumpets exclusively into the convenience sector next month.

The eight-pack of Warburtons Crumpets will be marked with a promotional price point of £1, and will land on shelves as of 10 February.

Martin Baptie, category strategy controller at Warburtons, said; “In the current economic climate, it’s important that manufacturers and retailers alike demonstrate to shoppers that they’re getting the best possible price when making their purchase. Our new Warburtons Crumpet PMPs do exactly that, offering consumers great value for money.

He added that retailers should ensure availability of its PMP crumpets because of increased demand, with the products receiving further support on TV from January as part of Warburtons’ breakfast campaign.
