Pop-up bakery continues at Fortnum

Fortnum & Mason is extending its pop-up bakery for a further two weeks to raise funds for Bowel Cancer UK.

Starting 16 April, the London Piccadilly upmarket department store will be serving up dishes from its Great British Spelt Recipes online collection of high-fibre recipes, which were collated by the cancer charity alongside organic food farm Sharpham Park.

Recipes were donated by the likes of Gizzi Erskine, star of Channel 4's Cook Yourself Thin, along with a group of culinary experts, who will all be making guest appearances at Fortnum & Mason as part of a series of customer masterclasses, events and talks.

Yvonne Isherwood, retail marketing manager at Fortnum & Mason, said: “With our pop-up bakery proving to be a sell-out success and the weekly masterclasses a hit with our customers, we were thrilled to be able to extend the pop-up for a further two weeks for a partnership with Sharpham Park and Bowel Cancer UK. 

"Not only does the pop-up give our customers another opportunity to enjoy a series of masterclasses from the UK’s top foodies but the Great British Spelt Recipe campaign is a fantastic initiative supporting the important work of Bowel Cancer UK.”

The company launched its Fortnum’s British Bakery back in January, which consisted of a series of bakery experts and celebrities each taking the helm of the outlet for a two-week slot. This included stars of BBC Two’s The Great British Bake Off such as Paul Hollywood and Edd Kimber.
