Dairy manufacturer Pritchitts has launched Creative Base a product that combines cream with gelatine. It can be used as a setting base for a range of different recipes, both sweet and savoury, says the company.

The ingredient can be used to create products such as sweet and savoury mousses, cheesecakes and panna cotta. It only sets upon refrigeration, making larger quantities and delicate recipes much easier to manage.

Due to the gelatine content, Creative Base also eliminates the separation of liquids, making it suitable for binding sandwich fillings. It is available in 12 x 1L Tetra packs and has a shelf-life of six months. It can be used from ambient but needs to be refrigerated once opened.
