Puratos has relaunched its Satin Cake Range with a number of new mixes. Joining its already popular Satin Crème Cake Range, the company has added muffin, farmhouse and moist-cake mixes.

Based on an original American recipe, Puratos's Satin Crème Cake range features plain, chocolate, banana, lemon, coffee, toffee, wholegrain, coconut and carrot flavours.

The entire range has now been redeveloped with both end-consumers and bakers in mind, said the firm. "New formulations have improved machinability, allowing the mix to glide easily through depositors therefore ensuring minimum wastage, maximum profit and a great-looking finished product every time."

Taste and texture have also been improved, it added.

The mixes and concentrates can be used to make any cake creation and can hold almost any flavour and inclusion. Each product in the new range is free from hydrogenated fats, meets Food Standards Agency 2010 salt targets and contains only natural flavours and no AZO dyes.
