Consumers willing to pay more for British Lion logo

British Lion egg products has revealed that the majority of consumers are willing to pay more for a sandwich with the British Lion mark, following an in-store study.

A survey of consumers’ shopping habits revealed that over half of shoppers questioned, who were looking to purchase of an egg sandwich, were more likely to buy a sandwich that displayed the British Lion logo on-pack.

The interviews, carried out at the sandwich fixture of a major multiple retailer over a period of two months, also showed that consumers would be willing to pay more for egg sandwiches that had the Lion mark.

More than 80% of respondents said they would be willing to pay an additional 2p on the current price, and almost a third said they were prepared to pay an additional 10p.
