In the article 'Cracking the egg problem' (28/01/11), Kensey Foods suggests that "during peak periods of production, it was not always possible to source from the UK".

As an industry we are happy to help food manufacturers, who do not wish to run the risk of food safety issues, such as the recent dioxin scare, find a British Lion egg supplier.

There is currently a strong demand from customers and end consumers for good-value products that meet strict food safety and hygiene requirements, such as British Lion eggs and egg products.

Increased production will always follow demand and Lion egg processors would be delighted to receive new orders.
