Crantock's lifts lid on open-top pies

Crantock's unveiled its range of open-top pies at the recent Lunch! show. The range includes: spinach & feta; beef, mushroom & red wine; chicken, Wiltshire ham & leek; and lamb tagine.

The firm launched its first branded range of frozen savouries, for consumers to bake-off at home, at the show last year. It recently invested £1m in expanding its business, which saw the addition of an in-house chilled facility, enabling it to produce a range of branded ready-to-eat products. The chilled range includes: a traditional Cornish pasty; cheese & onion pasty; Cornish sausage roll; hand-raised pork pie; and peppered steak slice.

Managing director Nick Ringer said: "The launch of our branded chilled range and our exciting open-top pie selection is the beginning of a new era for the company and will open some exciting new doors for us."
