Former The Great British Bake Off (GBBO) star Selasi Gbormittah has partnered with Deliveroo to open a pop-up bakery.

On sale from 3 October – and available while stocks last – will be a range of cupcakes created and handbaked by the contestant, who was a favourite of many viewers of last year’s GBBO.

The cupcakes feature different coloured rose-shaped icing topped with an edible flower, and come in four flavours: Chocolate Orange, Raspberry Vanilla, Strawberry Vanilla & Coconut, Passion Fruit & Mango.

They are sold in a box of four for £15 through Deliveroo’s delivery-only kitchens, with orders being delivered in 30 minutes, according to the company.

“I’m so excited to be launching Selasi’s Bakes on Deliveroo,” said Gbormittah.

“I wanted people to be able to enjoy my cakes as I do – in front of their favourite TV shows. These cakes shouldn’t be just for eating in a posh hotel lobby with your mum on her birthday, but little bites of heaven to brighten an otherwise average day.”

Deliveroo, which said it was always looking for the “next exciting delicacy”, recently partnered with Game of Thrones actor Ben Hawkey, who played orphan and baker Hot Pie in the show, to offer mini loaves of Direwolf-shaped bread.
