French bakery specialist Bridor is set to roll out two indulgent bakery ranges to the UK market.

Available to UK distributors from March 2018, the bakery will launch the 70g four-strong B’Break bread rolls range, comprising cocoa & chocolate chip, muesli, chorizo, and olive & rosemary variants.

The cocoa & chocolate chip and the olives & rosemary rolls are suitable for vegetarians and vegans, while the muesli roll contains honey, raisins, dried apricots, rolled oats, cranberries and whole hazelnuts. The chorizo roll is free of colourants and smoked over beechwood.

‘The Extravagants’ range will include a trio of 95g Viennese pastries in triple chocolate, blueberry & muesli and raspberry cheesecake-style flavours. The range will be available in 60 pieces per box and have a shelf life of nine months.

The triple chocolate pastry contains milk, dark and white chocolate, while the muesli & blueberry variant is topped with rolled oats, which Bridor said met the demand for well-being. The raspberry cheesecake-style extravagant is topped with pink sugar and contains a combination of cream cheese and raspberries.

Speaking at the Europain trade show in Paris, France, Bridor UK sales director Erwan Inizan told British Baker the ranges met current trends and were extremely versatile.

“The B’Break range is four recipes for indulgent, practical and on-trend rolls for every moment of consumption, such as breakfast, lunch, an afternoon snack and pre-dinner,” said Inizan. “The Extravagants range is a pure butter recipe that is colourful and centred with intense flavours.”
