Italian coffee brand Ca’puccino will open a new outlet in Heathrow Terminal 2: The Queen’s Terminal in June 2014.
Launching in partnership with WHSmith, the café will offer seasonal sandwiches and pastries.
The new cafe will be air side on the ground floor, close to luxury retailers.
Ca’puccino currently has 17 direct points of sale and approximately 250 employees. The Heathrow outlet will be the fifth in the UK for the brand. The first opened inside Harrods, London in 2008, followed by Westfield, The King’s Road and Basil Street, Knightsbridge.
Sofia Dimen, chief operating officer, Ca’puccino said: “The new opening in Heathrow’s Terminal 2 fits perfectly in our global growth strategy and highlights the entrance of Ca’puccino in a new segment, not yet penetrated.
“We are delighted to operate in such a prime location. We are thrilled for the new hybrid space and we are happy to embark in this venture with a strong and established partner, such as WHSmith. We hope this could be the first of many future successful collaborations with the retailer.”
Simon Smith, WHSmith travel managing director, added: “We are delighted to be opening this new concept store in the Queen’s Terminal in conjunction with Ca’puccino. We are very much looking forward to providing passengers with the service and product range they expect from WHSmith, alongside the added convenience of easy access to a high-quality coffee shop experience.”
Ca’puccino joins Caffè Nero and Costa Coffee in the terminal, which is investing nearly £1m in a 3,000 sq ft store for international departures.
