Delice de France scoops food-to-go prize

Delice de France has been awarded Highly Commended for its Wrapped to Go range at the Café Society Awards 2012.

The baking manufacturer and foodservice supplier picked up the accolade in the Product Innovation category at an awards ceremony last month, which was held at the Roof Gardens in London’s Kensington.

The firm’s Wrapped to Go range features 12 individually wrapped sweet bakery products, including granola bars, chocolate brownie bites and a low-fat lemon and poppyseed muffin.

Mary Cooley, head of UK brand management and communication at Delice de France, said: “We are thrilled to have received special recognition for the Wrapped to Go range. It has already had a fantastic response from our customers and consumers and this award is a further pat on the back for all the team at Delice de France for their hard work and commitment to delivering innovation and great-tasting products for cafés across the UK.”

Delice de France created the range as part of its Café Delice initiative, which launched last November, in a bid to support coffee shops and foodservice outlets looking to capitalise on the UK’s growing café culture.
