Mono Equipment has agreed to support Unifiller’s sales growth strategy in the UK market, British Baker can reveal.

The Canada-based company, which manufactures portioning depositors and cake automation systems for the baking industry, said its UK director of sales, Nick Frost, would be supporting the sales team at Swansea-based Mono.

Stewart Macpherson, owner of Unifiller, told British Baker: “Unifiller Systems is celebrating its 25th year in business this year. We have a very ambitious sales growth and strategy plan for the UK market, and we look forward to working with and supporting the professional sales team of Mono Equipment.”

He added that Unifiller would be offering Mono’s customers production solutions in bakery depositing, pumping and decorating.

Macpherson explained: “We carry a generous inventory of new machines, attachments and spare parts at our Northampton warehouse and sales office, and include technical sales and service support by our factory-trained technicians.”

Back in October, Frost said: “Unifiller has set in place a five-year plan to become the pre-eminent supplier of depositing equipment within the UK. As we only gave the equipment around 25% of our time and energy, we feel that we should be in the CA$1m (£627,533) region for year one to two, with ambitions of being between CA$3m (£1.8m) and CA$5m (£3.14m) by year five.”
