Brook Food Processing Equipment has moved into its new site in Williton, Somerset.

The company moved into the new four-acre site with a 60,000sq ft building on 4 November,

With a team of 50, the site is home to administration, refurbishment, new manufacture and equipment display, and a new 2,000sq ft test bakery.

As well as the huge undercover storage and display facility for the equipment stock, the new site features improved CNC machining and sheet metal capacity.

In September Brook Food confirmed that its 40,000sq ft Old Cleeve site will be retained for processing used stock and storage.

The move comes as part of the company’s overall multi-million-pound extension plans for the year.

Steve Wells, managing director, said: “We are really pleased with how things are going this year. As well as the new premises, we’ve invested in additional new delivery and service vehicles and an IT infrastructure upgrade.

“These elements enable us to be better positioned to serve the industry and, during the latter part of the year, we will also be changing the way we process used equipment, preparing equipment as it arrives into stock and not when it is ordered by our customers. This will allow us to dramatically reduce lead times on orders.”
