The Fabulous Baker Brothers have signed up for a third year as the faces of Craft Bakers’ Week.

Speaking to British Baker at Foodex, held at the NEC in Birmingham (24 - 26 March), Tom and Henry Herbert said it was a privilege to be asked to support the week again.

Tom said: “We’re going to be involved with Craft Bakers’ Week (CBW) for a third year running. It’s who we are: we are craft bakers  born and bred, and we love it. And we feel that craft baking has a place in people’s hearts and affections, and it needs to keep moving and evolving to stay relevant.”

Henry added: “To be asked for a third time in a row is a bit of a privilege. So, we’re stoked to be involved.”

CBW is funded and supported by the Craft Bakers’ Association (CBA) and Scottish Bakers, as well as stakeholders from across the bakery sector including British Baker, California Raisins, CSM, Bakels, Bako, BFP, Dawn, Ireks, Marriages, Macphie, Puratos, Reynards and Zeelandia.

The week will run from Monday 29 September to Sunday 5 October 2014, encouraging the public to ‘Love Your Baker’.  The campaign aims to encourage support for bakeries from local communities and highlight the quality and variety of produce made by bakers every day.

The pair also revealed that they are looking to film the third series of Channel 4’s The Fabulous Baker Brothers this summer.

Henry said: “We have some bits in the pipeline, so definitely watch this space. We are aiming to be filming over the summer. It’s very exciting.”
