Companies join forces for American Sweet Bakery Week

California Raisins has teamed up with Dawn Foods to make a splash with its National American Sweet Bakery Week (1 to 7 July).

Dawn Foods will offer free support material to the first 100 bakers who complete the registration form on its website. The package comprises a US-themed POS kit, with flags, bunting, balloons and a free competition kit for bakers to use in their venues to encourage consumer engagement.

California Raisins will offer the same 100 bakers free samples of raisins to give out to customers or add to their baked creations during the week. To qualify for the kit bakers must detail their plans for the week when registering.

In line with its American Bakery Campaign, Dawn has updated its collection of American-themed recipes, which are downloadable from its website. Newcomers to its portfolio include USA Patriotic Pops; holiday cupcakes topped with sugar stars; and American cakes striped in red, white and blue.

“Linked by our strong American heritage, we are delighted to have California Raisins on board for our first National American Sweet Bakery Week,” said UK marketing manager Jacqui Passmore. “We’re excited to see as many high street bakers as possible taking part in what is shaping up to be a very exciting Week. Across these seven days bakers can really raise awareness of the American-inspired products they have to offer and drive sales of the all-American sweet treats that consumers love.”
