Roberts launches summer campaign

A bakery has launched an online activity pack, showcasing summer recipes and encouraging families to get outdoors.

Roberts Bakery & Sons created the booklet to promote its new 50% white 50% wholemeal loaf. It includes a list of 50 things to do each day around the UK during the summer holidays.

The recipes in the pack were created by nutritionist Dr Carina Norris.

Tim Wild, commercial director of Roberts Bakery, said: “Summer is when we all love to get outdoors as a family, but keeping the activities and the picnic lunches interesting can be a challenge. So we wanted to give parents a helping hand.

“Dr Carina Norris has devised some amazing recipes, which are quick and simple to make and kids will love.

“Coming into the picnic season is the perfect time for Roberts 50% White 50% Wholemeal range too. Parents have told us how much their families all love the loaves we launched last year.

“With the 50 Days Of Summer pack and Roberts 50% white 50% wholemeal loaves, families are all set for the season. Now all we need is the rain to stay away!”

The suggested activities include outdoor excursions such as visiting Bristol balloon festival, as well as indoor entertainment including creating jewellery with pasta.

Some of the more adventurous recipes include a strawberries-and-cream sandwich with black pepper seasoning.
