TV favourite Keith Chegwin is to appear at the 2014 Bakers’ & Butchers’ Fair.

Chegwin, famous for programmes like Multi-Coloured Swap Shop and Cheggers Plays Pop, will present awards in the Britain’s Best Loaf and National Pie competitions. He will also be available to mingle and interact with visitors.

The event, which will be held on 12 October at Newark Showground in Nottinghamshire, gives bakers the opportunity to win awards and view a host of products and services, as part of the exhibition.

The event also features a number of demonstrations from expert bakers – including Birds of Derby and Chris Foxall, of The Village Bakery Group.

UK bakers can enter Britain’s Best Loaf competition, won last year by Lee Smith of Bexhill Farm Kitchen for his Cumin & Chickpea Sourdough.
