Berkshire-based Warings Craft Bakery is to open its seventh shop, under its Indulgent Bakery brand.

The shop will open at the Kingsland Centre in Thatcham next month, and is the second site to open under the brand.

The site will feature an in-store bakery, as well as a sandwich deli bar.

The company has also seen an increase in attendance at its bakery school classes, which Daniel Carr, public relations manager, has put down to the popularity of BBC One’s The Great British Bake Off (GBBO).

Carr said: “This site will be slightly different as it will have an in-store bakery and there will be different products on display at different times of the day.”

He added: “We have seen a huge surge in bookings for our bakery master classes and I can only put it down to the GBBO effect. They always slow down in summer, but now we’re booked out for the remainder of the year.”

Five of the bakery’s other sites are ‘Food-to-go’ style, and sell a selection of cakes, savouries and hot and cold drinks.
