Bakers have their last chance to prove they make Britain’s Best Loaf.

Visit the Bakers’ & Butchers’ Fair website to enter the competition and pit your skills against your peers.

Master breadmaker Colin Lomax will be among those judging the entered loaves at the fair, which takes place on Sunday 12 October.

There is plenty of action during the day, with stage demonstrations showing visitors how to make a pork pie held by Stephen Hallam, managing director of Dickinson & Morris.

The event also hosts the deciding final round of two other competitions; the National Pie Competition and the ultimate sausage competition Champion of Champions, as well as the all-important Britain’s Best Loaf.

Launched last year, Britain’s Best Loaf seeks out the country’s finest bread in five different categories: Baguettes, Innovation, Sourdough, White and Wholegrain.

Registration for the fair is free and can be done online here.
