Mr Pretzels UK has set its eyes on up to 10 more sites by the end of the year, with ambitions to open up in train stations.

The brand, owned by global company Mr Pretzels, currently has 30 sites in the UK, and opened its most recent in Doncaster this year.

Agata Talbot, managing director or Mr Pretzels UK, said: “We are looking to expand, but we are looking at shopping centres with the right footfall.

“We think we will open between six and 10 by the end of this year and, as a next step, we are investigating airports and train stations.”

The expansion plans come as the pretzel brand is launching a new ‘healthy’ pretzel offering made with seeds and wholemeal flour.

Talbot continued: “We get requests from customers and they were after a healthier option, so we are bringing in this.”

Mr Pretzels is not the only pretzel brand to be expanding within the UK, with Knot, the artisan pretzel-maker opening a fourth site, at Victoria train station earlier this year.
