High street bakery chain Greggs has posted its 2014 preliminary results including its best own-shop like-for like sales since 2007. 

British Baker has picked the company’s stand-out figures and compared them year-on-year.

Total sales are up 5.5% to £804m (£762.4m in 2013); own shop like-for-like sales are up 4.5% (0.8% in 2013); and pre-tax profit (excluding exceptional items is up 41.1% to £58.3m (£41.3m in 2013).
