A Norwich baker sold out of royal baby-themed cakes in 20 minutes following the arrival of Kate and Will’s second child.

Jodie Colman’s sugarcraft business It’s All Cake Believe designed special cakes with babies sleeping under a pink blanket and crown to celebrate the arrival of the Princess of Cambridge.

According to the Eastern Daily Press, the batch of cupcakes sold out in 20 minutes at the Marina Centre craft fair in Great Yarmouth. Colman made another batch for the Bank Holiday Monday, the last day of the event.

Harriet Hastings, founder of Biscuiteers in London, also planned to cash in on the royal baby. Baking biscuits in testament to the 2011 royal wedding resulted in “thousands” of biscuits being sold and Hastings always uses big events for inspiration and increased sales.

The royal baby was born on Saturday and named Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. She will be fourth in line to the throne and is the Queen’s fifth great-grandchild.
