Samworth Brothers-owned Soreen has launched a partnership with charity Youth Sport Trust called Active Families, Happy Families.

It wants to inspire thousands of families to spend more time being active, while also promoting the links between activity and health.

Beth Brown, marketing director at Soreen, said: “We’re hoping that the activity packs, which families can download for free, will help children reach the government guideline of being active for at least 60 minutes each day.”

Partnership

The partnership is being promoted on Soreen packaging in stores now. Details will be sent to around 15,000 schools in the UK to encourage families to take part. The school with the highest number of participants will be awarded a traverse climbing wall for their school.

Alex Danson, Olympic-medal-winning England Hockey player and European champion, is supporting the campaign, which provides a series of free downloadable activity cards for families to do together.
