Sussex-based pie manufacture Higgidy is hosting two pie-themed nights to launch its Higgidy Sofa Supper Campaign.

With one in London on 30 October and another in Brighton on 5 November, the Higgidy Sofa Supper Club events will give consumers the chance to enjoy a hot pie with the company’s founder Camilla Stephens and stars of Channel 4’s Gogglebox, Stephen Webb and Chris Steed. The events are free but ticketed with limited places.

The Sofa Supper Campaign will also feature coupons offering £1 off Higgidy pies and on-pack promotional codes giving customers the chance to win sofa-supper-themed prizes including luxury home accessories.

Oliver Rudgard, recently-appointed head of brand for Higgidy, said: “We want to own that Friday night casual dining moment. Research shows us that by 4pm on a Friday most people still don’t know what they want for supper and over half of us are opting to stay in on Friday night as autumn approaches. This is exactly the market we want to appeal to and why we are hosting our first event the first Friday after the clocks go back.”

He added the two-month campaign was the company’s largest to date and was part of ambitious growth plans for the year ahead.

On Facebook, Higgidy indicated that if the Sofa Supper Club events were successful, they would organise more around the country.
