Brook Food scoops new business award

Bakery equipment supplier Brook Food Processing has won a regional award in recognition of its business model, ethics and successes.

The Williton-based company scooped Business of the Year 26-50 Employees at the 2015 Somerset Business Awards held recently.

The company, which has been running for 21 years, currently employs 45 people and has a state-of-the-art 100,000sq ft HQ facility – but it started life with a small lock-up unit and a pick-up truck.

Steve Wells, managing director, said: “We haven’t entered any awards before now; we’ve just kept our heads down and worked hard at our business. It’s great for the team to be recognised for all their hard work.”

Ann Wells, director, added: “We operate the business with a passion for our industry and genuine personal pride for our customers. We put a lot of importance in building real relationships with customers, founded upon trust and a mutual interest in success.”
