Brace’s Bakery warms up chilly parents

A new campaign by Brace’s, the Newport-based bread bakery, is to bring tea and toast to parents at sports matches.

Brace’s Bakery will be championing parents who brave the elements to support their children at sports matches, by giving them the chance to warm up with tea and toast on the touchline. The campaign, called #MakeMeToasty, will be surprising cold, wet and windswept supporters with a hot cup of tea and a slice of toast throughout February, March and April.

All parents, families and clubs have to do is post on social media where and when they will want warming up, using the hashtag #MakeMeToasty.

Scott Richardson, chief executive at Brace’s Bakery, said: “I am one of those parents stood in the wind and rain every weekend watching my children play sport, so I know how miserable it can be. At Brace’s we are always looking at ways to give back to our loyal community so by going out to clubs with toast, we hope to raise the spirits of loyal parents; it would certainly warm me up!”

To apply, tweet @BracesBakery with the time, date and match venue, or share on facebook.com/BracesBakery using the hashtag #MakeMeToasty.
