Cuisine de France launches speciality rolls

Cuisine de France has launched a range of speciality rolls aimed at the in-store bakery market.

The range includes both a Mediterranean and an oregano roll, which the company said capitalises on consumer demand for new and interesting flavours.

Meanwhile, a spelt roll made with flaxseed, pumpkin and sunflower seeds is designed to offer shoppers a real point of difference. The roll is given a slow fermentation to offer a well-developed flavour, and spelt grain is naturally lower in gluten and high in fibre.

Supplied by Aryzta Food Solutions, the breads are delivered frozen in cases of 80 and have an RSP of £0.45 per roll.

Shane Vaughan, head of retail marketing at Aryzta Food Solutions, said: “Speciality breads are the star performers of the in-store bakery category. They are currently growing at more than 20% year-on-year, which shows that consumers are actively looking for more options.

“Bakery is already the second most frequently bought category in convenience, and with in-store bakery shoppers spending over 70% more in-store than average symbol shoppers, these new products will help increase this basket spend even further.

Cuisine de France recently released a limited-edition pink lemonade muffin.
